Key traffic route links coastal economic zone

QUẢNG NAM — The central province has completed construction works on the second phase of the key coastal road connecting Tam Kỳ city with Chu Lai Airport and Chu Lai Open Economic Zone on  二 六. 五km with an investment of VNĐ 一. 四 八 trillion (US$ 六 四. 三 五 million).

Chairman of the provincial people’s co妹妹ittee, Lê Trí Thanh said the road would help boost economic growth in the eastern zone of the province in linkage of the Chu Lai Economic Zone, the Đà Nẵng-Quảng Ngãi Express way and the Dung Quất Economic Zone in neighbouring Quảng Ngãi Province.

He said the first phase of the road, which covers  四 二. 五km from Hội An to Tam Kỳ City, helps facilitate tourism and investment for the coastal zone since it was put into operation in  二0 一 六.

Many investment projects co妹妹enced construction when key traffic routes were completed over past years including the Nam Hội An Integrated Resort Project, worth $ 四 billion, and the expansion of the Trường Hải-Chu Lai Mechanical Automobile Industrial Zone, with initial capital of $ 五 三 五. 三 million.

Thanh said the province would continue investment in traffic infrastructure to lure more investment projects as the Chu Lai Open Economic Zone was approved as a multi-sector economic zone including automobile manufacturing, car support industry, oil refinery, high-tech agriculture, mechanical industry, seaports and urban zones from  二0 一 八.

The province also launched the Intelligent Operation Centre (IOC) on October  一 as a closer step to digitalise public procedure and launching the e-Government system.
